The Palace

My boyfriend and I went to The Palace. The restaurant is quite small but intimate. The service is very friendly and informative. The food was delicious and so beautiful. A lot of the meals are adorned with fresh flowers. To start with we ordered fresh oysters and toasted bread with various smoked hams and smoked salmon. For the mains we ordered duck and Salmon on a bed of risotto.

Izakaya Den

My boyfriend and I checked out Izakaya Den for lunch and had one of the set menus. The restaurant is a little difficult to find however I like this, it's like an adventure. You find a flight of stairs which look like they're leading you to a clothing store, at the bottom there is a curtain to your left as you walk through this leads you to the restaurant. The layout is spacious, modern and cool. The food is really great quality and the flavours are simple yet delicious. The tofu melts in your mouth, ocean trout is fresh and teriyaki beef very tender and only slightly infused with teriyaki. I tried the Cherry Blossom tea which was lovely. Will definitely be going back to try some sake and dinner.

Ajisen Ramen

My partner and I decided to try Ajisen Ramen 130 Bourke St. Melbourne.
We remember trying it in Hong Kong at the airport and it was quick and tasty. The service in Melbourne was friendly we were greeted with a robust welcome from the staff. The food came out quickly and the price was reasonable for lunch. We tried the Tonkatsu which is a crumbed pork , soft shell crab, Takoyaki (little round octopus balls),  and Teriyaki Chicken. The only disappointment was the soft shell crab too salty and overcooked.
